In Islam, an orphan is a child who has lost their father. The child remains an orphan until they reach maturity. At One Ummah, we also support children whose fathers have been missing for a long period of time, as well as those whose families have been displaced or affected by conflict or disaster. Sponsorship continues until the child reaches the age of 16, after which support may end or be reviewed depending on individual circumstances.
